Give people two sides of a fence to stand on and I'll give you a war

The same old overly patriotic, xenophobic garbage people apply to any self-identifying decision

Sorry, that was cynnical. But it's true. So many people can't separate their opinion from their religion. And if you think about it for one second, it's utterly absurd that people choose to identify with one ideology to the point of ignorance to other ideas.

Blindly, without shame, and in fact, with great pride.

It's a sad characteristic of our race. (see: sports, religion, politics, racism)

The only one I can come up with right now is my MP3 player running Rockbox and my WRT54g v2 running DDWRT.

But who knows what is running under the hood of my DVR, PS3, Cable modem, Toaster (hey it's a pretty nice toaster ok?) etc.

I like using linux when someone smarter than me has tweaked and modded it for one specific function and worked all the bugs out. Rockbox and DDWRT are great examples of Linux made to be a tool for the above average user. I think my favorite implementations are on devices that are very basic and increase functionality over the standard OS.

I really don't like terms like that. Not because I'm a windows defender or anything but most of the time people just throw those things in the air to be funny or to prove they're "in the know". Other related meme-phrases that totally get on my nerves are "the cake is a lie", "can it run crysis", among others. I swear, if I had an ignore button. I'd totally use it there

"Troll" and "Fanboy"...., a rose by any other name...

What does it matter what name is used, as long as it gets the point across?
