They should fix the compatibility in 7 too, then it would make it even better.
Running 7 right now, most things work but somethings just doesn't like Windows 7.

Well I guess my parents are kind of on the borderline, both of them know how to use computers better than your average person, but they are definitely not hardcore users like myself or most of us. Both of them prefer Windows 7 to XP and my dad (who used Vista for a year) prefers W7 to Vista as well. Both of them say it is much easier to use and does not require all the driver crap or the finesse to speed the machine up.

Guys, guys! 5entinel did a really bad job of quoting the article!
Its not that businesses don't want to upgrade to Windows 7, its that to do so they would have to not only spend a lot of money(although less than for Vista) on the OS itself, and for a lot of them, even more for new hardware. As much as Windows 7 offers, even over XP, with the state of the economy right now, most businesses can't afford to upgrade. (Even though the act of upgrading would probably give a tremendous boost to the economy) What we need is an OEM PC bailout! Give any business that is willing to do a large overhaul money that they can go spend on some new Dell, Lenovo, HP, etc.. computers that are faster, and more importantly, greener, and that are running Windows 7

From the automated screen capping of it's error reporting system to the functionality of the Super Bar Windows 7 will win so many everyday users over it won't need the IT world users to be successful. Not looking to argue or anything but W7 is already more than everything Vista was supposed to be. (I even ran it on a Dell Dimension E310: P4, 1 1/2 GB RAM, FX 5200 gpu and it ran smooth as butter.) It's ready for any machine.

I laugh at articles saying that because Corporate hasn't moved to vista that it was a failure. I just did a bunch of interviews and talked with a lot of IT firms at career fairs. A surprising amount of them are still using 2000. It was the same way with 98 even. People were using 98 in the corporate world well into 2005, 4 years after XP came out.
