I'm running 3.5.3 and I don't notice anything different from the previous revisions.
I've had it crash on me... Once, maybe twice in the last few months. They're usually attributed to random flash objects that probably have improper coding, and not a FF code issue.

It is slightly faster than 3.5.3 maybe 5-10% at rendering pages, it appears to load my 6 bookmark bar tabbed very quickly.
It starts up a lot faster I notice. The Aero preview thumbnails is a very important change I like, works well apart from the odd time when it doesn't display the pages correctly, instead it would show a white page with a loading ring, but 90% it works great with Aero preview. But. I do use Google chrome 95% of the time, but I am giving this new Firefox a try, and I am liking it. This new FF does not support Jumplists yet, but chrome does, what I am waiting for is tabbed Aero preview for Chrome, then I think it will be a hard decision which to choose. Until Chrome gets the preview tabbed thing, I will continue to use both.

3.5 was terrible for me so hopefully this will be better (not that hard to do)
__________________it would crash ALL THE TIME (i got about 10 crashes in a week) it would also screw up downloads (would start to download a 2gig file, finish in 2 seconds, and it was corrupt) i found myself having to not use ff when doing certain things and i only stuck with it because i need adblock plus lol EDIT: ok this is really annoying, when i open new tabs they show as if they were new windows in the taskbar. Now i cant tell if i have multiple windows open or multiple tabs. grrrr.

Ya FireFox on 3.5 has been absolutely awful. It feels like I'm having an exorcism when I use it.
Hopefully 3.6 will fix all my crashes that I get, like when I'm trying to upload to MegaUpload!!!

Just as an update, I tested both Chrome 3 and FF3.6b1 on Sunspider java bench. This version of Firefox is effectively 2x slower. 350ms GC vs like 650ms FF. BUT saying that, the way FF renders things seems to make it appear to be very comparable to chromes speed.
here is a link to the goals they aimed to accomplish, I think they are almost there. In the performance part it did mention perception of speed, so I think my guess just above is correct. see results below:
