OK never used this before. Can someone explain to me? My set up is Windows 7 Ultimate on a ssd, normal HDD for programs & a seperate HDD with XP on it.

Remember you can create Window 7 shortcuts to XP Mode Applications.... running all your browsers in XP Mode is a good way to protect your OS.

You would think the XP version would be relatively up-to-date... It's still running IE6....

It allows you to use a virtualized XP within Windows 7. If you're not using 3D apps, you should be able to run most things.

So all Windows XP Mode is is a virtualized Windows XP installation? For some reason I was thinking it was something completely new.
