There already is a DX11 game... Battleforge.

not about not having the funds to upgrade to 7, and I have tried 3 different beta's of 7, the rc1 and the rtm. i liked it just over vista I don't really see a point aside from the dx11 which now will be available to me, so really no point in the upg.

Yes, DX 10 cards work with Dx 11, at DX10 Specs.

This is why I don't see the hype. How many here even have a DX11 capable card??

Well I for one have tried it, quite extensivly, exclusivly used it from the time it hit initial beta till RTM. It's a fine OS, but there are issues with it, It's boinked when it comes to networking, it doesn't like to play well networked to non Win7 machines, to the point that I couldn't even get certain software (mainly Adobe titles) to install because it didn't like drive mappings for some reason.

Ironically enough I was at a large corporate customer site today for work, and I got into a discussion with one of the server admins there in regards to Win7 ( saw him running it on one of the machines at his desk) And he also brought up this same issue and further mentioned that they've experiened great problems with authentication in Win7 and group policy issues cross platform.

So trust me when I say this that I like 7, but just like Vista it's got its own bugs to work out.

lol who gives a **** bout DX11 though right now? i highly doubt that the only reason people are switching to Windows 7 or considering it is coz of DX11. sometimes i think people seem to forget PCs are used for more than games.

i made the switch coz i wanted something new, Windows 7 seems pretty cool and from what i've seen, it seems to run a little better. and its in its infant stages. plus im told it has really good backwards compatibility with older games, which is a huge plus for me.
