Preordered, and it said it was estimated for the 23rd. Oh well, at least it's coming in today!

OT: Really good read; didn't know my copy of Home Premium was limited to 16GB. Ah well. It'll be a while before I need 4 times as much as I have now.

Thanks guys. I guess I just didn't expect this drive to be considered "average" already!

And an SSD only getting a 6.9? So is it even possible to get a full 7.9 with anything available today?

The Windows Experience Index is not worth thinking about anyway. I mean, your judgment is all that matters. It doesn't matter what a bunch of numbers say.

No, dead wrong. Those numbers have meaning.
If my 4870x2 gets an experience index of 2, meanwhile it should have ~7+ - then the numbers matter.

SSDs only getting a 5.9 means something as well because if my 500GB RAID gets a 6.0 and the SSD only gets a 5.9 - that clearly means something.

Agreed, I'll take WEI with a grain of salt for that reason. Rated my 2x Velociraptors at 6.3, so seemed to be on par there as well.

On a side-note: Icing on the cake (for me) with Win 7 is just how well it runs on...anything.
I seriously still can't believe how well it runs on my 939 shuttle. Coming from my former sig rig, that was a very pleasant surprise
