Deaths in the US from N1H1 so far; just a little over 1000.

Perspective people.
A decade vs. 7 months. Perspective is right.

The only reason I've ever heard of a doctor or pharmacist not giving the shot was because of the mercury based preservative that's in them called Thimerosol (not sure on spelling). It's essentially harmless but some "at risk" people may have a bad reaction.

My point regarding the accuracy of the CDC vs people's opinions on OCN is fairly self explanatory.

This.

So far H1N1 is no more deadly than the seasonal flu. The percentage of people that are getting H1N1 and dying from it is about the same as the seasonal flu. The only difference is when each flu is more active, and the age groups they are affecting.

Fail

What I'm saying is that not all the information that some of the OCN members have is purely based on opinions with no facts. Their are other studies out there, they might not be as well known as the CDC but they're out there. So I'm sure most of them aren't just pulling all this out of their asses.

opinions + facts = opinions + facts

It's as simple as that.

Last time I checked this article is about people staying home eating bandwidth.
Last time I checked dead people don't use bandwidth.

So all of complaining that less people die from H1N1 actually shows how more more-probable this is to happening. Usually my school has 4-6% absence rate, our school had a H1N1 epidemic about two weeks ago. Monday, 17% absent, Wednesday, 29% absent, Thursday, 37% absent. Friday down to 22%.

Just because people most likely won't die from it doesn't mean its "nothing to worry about."
You most likely won't die if I shot you in the leg. But is that "nothing to worry about?"

This! Think stock market crash, when everyone went to withdraw all of their money at the same time.

When will people learn, things that shouldn't be happening are always going on until an industry gets regulated, and even then look what happened to the housing and mortgage bubble.

Maybe the suppliers need to make sure they can handle their customers. If they cannot provide a service to all the individuals, do not sell your service.

That's no way to run a business mate! Look at the probability! Since its x-2 likely that everyone will access all at once, lets use a crappier network, because its CHEAPER! Now, lets toast to our success. Is your web cam focus working? I can hear you just fine but Dave there in the corner is a bit blurry.

My boss and I were talking about this just the other day. There have been alot of people who died while having swine flu, but how many of them were healthy to begin with?

I had H1N1, and it only took me down for 3 days. Granted, I hit a fever of 102F and my fiancé almost took me to the hospital, but I still kicked it.
