This is BS. The Internet usage is about the same day in day out. Businesses use large amounts during the day. People got home use large amounts. JarHead is right on the power grab and his H1n1 brief...To date there have only been 5000 death WORLDWIDE....out of 6 billion people. Hardly a horrible cold. The net neutrality is to censor. Just like the FCC wants "diversity" over the air waves to "even' the playing field.....Control is the name of the game. go find someone from the old communist country they can see it coming. h1n1 is a joke.. i bet that more people have been infected and healed just fine without even knowing they had it than the amount of people that went to the doctor and found out they had it.
i think i had it because i had a very bad flu about a month ago and i didnt go to the doctor.. overcounter stuff took care of it fine.. and i have health insurance.

Ok, so IF "swine flu" isn't going to become the big pandemic that MANY believe it already is, and a lot of people don't stay home... the problem described here might still exist if anoher pandemic hits forcing many people to stay home and use the internet as described in the article...

Still the thought of any agency being able to start dictating who gets how much of the available (and paid for) bandwidth isn't a great prospect...

Read the Swine flu topic a while back. Me and several other people already did the leg work on this. Research, numbers, etc. We came up with same ending. This thing is blown way out of proportion, but as long as it gives the media to talk about (instead of the recession/media scaring people into not buying) then this is a good thing. Thank you.

I'm in healthcare and they keep us very well updated on this subject. If you read the CDC's website on H1N1 and seasonal flu they are almost a copy paste job. This strain of flu is dangerous for the very young, very old, and the chronicly ill. Does that sound familiar? Most people who will get H1N1 wouldn't know it from any other flu unless someone told them different. Wash your hands, stay home if you're sick, get rest and fluids, and stop trying to fear monger.

Ok, I know people who worked 20+ hour days for months on end to prevent Y2K from happening, these guys are heroes, the fact that you can sit here and say that there was never a threat is a testament to how good a job these guys did. Y2K was a FACT, so many people worked so long and hard, companies and the gov and everyone else spent SO much money on fixing the issue, do you really think these greedy lazy SOB's would have blown all that cash on a bunch of IT dinosaurs if there wasn't a real issue?

This stupid mainstream media has grossly overinflated H1N1. It's because of this that each time a vaccine clinic opens in the city here there are mile long lineups. Something must be done about this panic and fear that mainsteam media is spreading.
