Until someone can explain to me why Dell insists on installing Norton 360 trial, McAFee Internet Security trial, AND a couple antispywares, i'll worship this news.

I got my Sony Vaio NS two months ago and it came chuck full of junk...I deleted a large bit of it.

I wonder how much M$FT makes in royalties from these companies that pay to have their software bundled with Windows.

Edit: Forgot to put the "$" symbol in place of the "S" to show my rebellion against "T3h big evil corporation"

These pieces of software aren't bundled with Windows and MS isn't paid a red cent for them being on there. In your case, Sony is paid a good amount by the vendors of this crapware to include their worthless software in the image that they install onto your computer.

Microsoft doesn't make a penny. Dell, HP, Etc. do.
