We need to just stop talking about this game. Its clear that IW and Activision don't care about us anymore, so instead of whining we should all just go play Battlefield.
Just let them lose 30-40 million in PC sales as a result of the PC gaming community completely abandoning them, and let them explain that to the shareholders. (Oh and lets not forget the cost of running IWNet, which will be a complete ghost town since not enough people will be playing the game to sustain the population)

I think I began to understand how Infinity Ward feels now. Hardly any copies of MW were bought for the PC, and people just kept on cracking it and pirating it. Because the game used dedicated servers, people just played on cracked servers. Of course I bought my copy, but we killed ourselves. Infinity Ward made a great game, and all we did was pirate it.

i'm still confused as to what IW.NET is.
i know for sure that custom games will have to be P2P. but will "playlist" games still be on dedicated servers, just ones run by activision? either way it will kill modding, but i never really tried mods for MW anyway; so that doesn't bother me much. i hate DLC w/ a passion though. if they try to use it as leverage for DLC i'm going to be pissed. -I say if they have something that's good enough & big enough that it shouldnt be included as a patch, then release it retail in a box as an expansion. NOT DLC. I will never buy DLC for games i already bought, ever.
