I always believed SOME of the reason pcs with windows are offered at the cost they are because they are subsidized by this crapware to offset low cost.

How is it a "Windows 7" problem that companies pre-install bloatware on it ? It goes without saying that performance is going to be bogged down.

Aren't all laptops bloated with crap in general? That's how their so cheap. Doesn't matter if it's Win7, Vista or XP. Laptops come bloated with crap.

Drivers are available on manufacturers website therefore shouldn't be a problem. That's what I did with my netbooks. The difference was night and day.

My Studio XPS 16 with a clean install of Win 7 has been working like a champion. Alternatively, my mom's Acer and all it's bundled, bloaty goodness would make the average person's hair turn gray and then fall out.
