The first, and the most consistent, argument is that flash will drain battery life. Apple likes to show off how long their batteries can last (see new uni-body MacBook and MacBook Pro) and would not want to jeopardize the iPhones battery.

Lol, an iphone owner here i can really care less if it supports flash or not. There are enough apps to keep me happy. Though i wouldn't mind it if it doesn't drain the battery like how the Maps/GPS apps would.

Apple doesn't have flash because then they couldn't charge you $5 for free flash games in the app store, and thats the only reason, whether Apple will admit it or not.

They are actually working on getting a restricted version of flash out, which will probably only let you watch native flash movies.

I'm getting rid of my iphone because I need flash to look at flash web sites... also I can look at any free pron because most of them are flash based ;P
