* Mandatory prohibitions on breaking DRM, even if doing so for a lawful purpose (e.g., to make a work available to disabled people; for archival preservation; because you own the copyrighted work that is locked up with DRM)

I wonder if this is actually real. I remember a few months ago something about Obama signing a bill to scan everybody's hard drive for illegal content... but the thing is, this "bill" was made up by some anti-American Russian propaganda site, I had a great laugh that people were taking the thing seriously. Can't exactly find out on my own, the site is taking forever to connect.

This has to be patently false, this is obviously unconstitutional and would never hold up, no one would waste their time trying to pass this. Secondly, this is in direct conflict with the net neutrality rules proposed by the Obama administration. I call shenanigans, shenanigans I tell you!
