Sorry but this sounds really stupid. Maybe it's just due to the oversimplification on MSNBC though.

Basically they are saying they've found a more computationally efficient method of heuristic malware detection. Interesting idea. I wonder how effective it will be at detecting threats in the wild, and if so would an AV scanner using the technology be significantly faster/easier on system resources.
