I started out as a n00b with Vista x32 when it came out and eventually upgraded to x64. TBH at first it was hell trying to get my hardware just to run properly with all the lack of driver support but down the line I gained a ton of user experiance from troubleshooting my problems all the time, unlike all others that just downgraded back to xp or ran to mac and just whined.

I'm still running Vista (x64 SP2) today and I love it, I never ever get any unexpected problems and I love its user interface. Sure, Windows 7 is great but remember that Vista was the building blocks to the foundation of it.

I have been saying this ever since I used RC1 but again, I am in no rush to switch to Windows 7 since Vista is working great. DX11 was released for it so I'm one happy camper...well, I'll be happier when I get a DX11 capable card.

Vista didn't suck, HARDWARE COMPANIES did, for not having drivers out in time for its release. That's what sucked. Vista was fine, otherwise.

Maybe it isn't. But compared to Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows XP, Windows 7, VISTA IS A PIECE OF POOPOO. It IS slow, it STILL isn't compatible with lots of crap, it starts up slow, it turns off slow, it is unorganized(not to mention the slowest search out of all the windows).

Windows 7 is a piece of heaven compared to this devil we call Windows Vista. However the devil would probably be better.
eh, I found Vista good. Also, you probably won't find many people saying vista was not horrible, so why are you sick of it?

I had Vista when it came out. I got it free from Microsoft, I did that 3 month test thing, where they downloaded info from my computer. I had it running on an old laptop.

I never really had a problem with it. I went from XP, to Vista to Win7

Win7 is a very nice OS. +1 Microsoft.

My boss said vista sucks, after looking at her laptop and noticing it only had 512mb of ram I sent her to Newegg.com and got her a 2gb stick. I'm sure within seconds of playing on it again she will change her mind.

Imo 90% of vista haters couldn't afford over 1gb of ram.....
