Ive thought about upgrading to 7 from my vista64 but I cant see spending the money when vista has treated me really good. I havnt had a issue with it and all my hardware works great. As long as they support it till the next OS comes out I think I will skip win7 for now.

In gaming every test that I have scene as far as games besides the guitar hero style all seem to perform on par with win7, maybe 1 or 2 fps but bascially the same. As far as other performance goes my system boots pretty quickly as fast as winxp did for a normal install or atleast so close I didnt notice much of a difference to be concerned with. My computers allways on anyways so thats a moot point anyhow.

I hate the ignorance associated with OS's. Ive heard people at work say that win7 is more like winxp then vista. I read reports from news articles about upgrading and they say the same thing people should of done with vista like you wont be able to run the system on your old hardware like p3 intels with 512 ram. This was the biggest issue besides drivers that vista ran into. People tried installing the OS on hardware that was 10 years old and expected it to work properly.

Plus the drivers which vista layed the ground work for. Win7 at first used the same drivers for the most part as vista, this allowed the companies who finally developed for vista to migrate over to win7 far easier then the initial change to vista.

Ahhh well people dont like change and they had to change for vista or waited for 7 then had to change anyways but it was more accepted so I guess it wasnt as big a deal.

7 isnt like XP. Dont know why people think that. Windows 7 is a revamped Vista and its so easy to see. Its looks very much like vista, operates a lot like vista. The only thing it doesn't do like vista is hog resources, its trimmed down a little bit but still need more than XP. Of course we are talking about XP, the OS that came out back When a P4 3.2GHz was really good.

Yeah I know, had someone try telling me it had the same kernel as XP, that was when I just walked away.

Whatever, everyone is entitled to there own opinion and whatever makes them sleep better at night.
