Default z-5500 and z-5300e Speakers...Questions?

Ok, I have a question, the z5500 and 5300 satellites look very similar.

Does anyone know if the actual satellites themselves are the same, and the power going to them from the sub is just less on the 5300e's?

Also, If I was to get the 5500's sub only. Do you think it'd work with the control pod from the 5300s?

thanks

umm I the Z5300's but I am not about to take them apart. And I would say no, because the Z5500's push more power to them. then the Z5300.

Oh and dude, Don't bump a thread before 24 hiours. You can get warned. Just letting you know.

Nope it applies to all threads.

I mean you could try it. Couldn't hurt it. but if you hear any popping or crackling stop. You are damaging the speakers.

The satellites may look the same but there are power differences the 5300's have 35w each channel while the 5500's have 62w. the control pod may not work with different systems but you could always try it

I know the specs y'all, I'm wondering if the 5300's were just underpowered Z5500 speakers, konw what I'm saying?

The specs you're giving me are the power the amp is putting to the speakers

Oh well though, I missed my chance on just the Z5500 sub only. So, oh well

Cuz I'm getting a set of 3 month old z5300's for 100 shipped.
