Got a set of Logitech Z-5300e 5.1 speakers on X-Fi, sounds great. Also I have a SteelSound 5H v2 headset which I modded with cotton.

I'm sure you could get them reasonably cheap... I'm partial to Monitor Audio though, and I believe they've just re-engineered their Bronze Line... (Though their about 200 pounds, thus over budget.)

Yer I was looking into the 9.1's but there is something about them that I dont like, if they were like the Zaldek series then I may have concidered

The Zaldek's aren't hifi though... the 9.1's are. Depends what you're looking for though.

OK heres a few shots of my humble little setup.
I do alot of recording and bands ect from my area and all over florida.

AKAI Turntable ( i convert alot of records to cd )
Pioneer CT-W703RS tape deck ( used to convert tape to cd )
Pioneer STAV-3350 tuner/amp ( used for another point of reference when mixing)
Panasonic 5.1 surround amp/dvd/am/fm/tuner ( i use this for gaming )


2x m-audio delta 44 recording interfaces/ i have 4 but i cant fit them all in this mobo.. Building another pc just for recording soon.

ART TPS II 2 channel tube preamp
Nady PRA-8 8 channel preamp
Digitech RDS 1900 digtal delay
Peavey Q15 31 band eq
Crown CE 1000 power amp ( powers the speakers on my desktop )

Speakers on desktop
Vintage Boston A60's with JBL Woofers and custom wound linkwitz/riley crossovers.

Also you see the big thing of cabling going into the preamps.. that is a 16 channel 4 send 100ft snake.
