Poor college students can only play with one toy at a time and right now my setup is pretty minimal. I'm using the Zhaolu D2C with the discrete amp upgrade as my external DAC and my amplifier connected to my AKG K271S with a custom Canare cable. I will be modding my Zhaolu soon enough to get the most out of it

whoa . . .where'd you get that cable. . . my OEM one finally broke and im looking for a long one for use at home and a short one for travel. . .

nice setup. I've got a modded Zhaolu 1.3 which some people say sounds the best of them all... but I'd like to give a 2.5 a try

I have the AKG K271s and the use a mini XLR connector. .. . I would get a replacement from AKG but they only have 10 ft available and i need 5ft so it's not cumbersome when i travel.

I pack them alot so the connection is the first part to go . . .that is where the cable attatches to the mini XLR connector. . . If you could help me out that'd be great.

Mine is sweet and simple. A Creative Sound Blaster Live! (That's like 7 or 8 years old) And a set of 2.1 Boston Acoustics BA635 speakers (I'm guessing they're more than 3 years old, as BA doesn't make PC speakers anymore.) They work well enough, and that's all that matters.
