Hi peeps!
__________________ Since I upgraded to vista, after some time (4-5 min) I start getting tic-tic sounds (interference) and it worsen as I keep playing (it happens in games such as GRAW and Titan Quest ; this does not occur in Command and Conquer 3 demo or while listening to movies or mp3s). My frames per second also becomes crappy when those tic-tic sounds appear and it also worsen as the sounds gets crappier. I have a X-Fi Extreme Music so I first thought it was the beta driver I had. I downloaded the more recent one (15th march I think) but the problem was still there. I even tried to switch to my integrated onboard sound (a realtek chipset), the same problem is still there (even with the lastest vista drivers for it). I really have no idea what is going on . Can anyone help me regarding this? Here's my rig : P4 prescott 3.4GHz @ 4GHz eVga 7800GT 2x1Gb G.Skill PC3200 Chaintech V915P X-Fi Extreme Music Zalman 5.1 surround headphones SATA WD 200Gb hd BTW: Sry for my poor english ; it's my second language.

welcome to the world of Vista
![]() its not only you. Most peoeple who owns Xfi, including me, are experiencing the same problems. Even though creative released the official driver, it is worse than beta version.

Im going well with my X-fi in vista. Its simply a driver/Vista compatibility thing and will be smoothed out with newer driver releases. Remember that the hardware layer for audio was removed from vista.
