I am looking to get a new hard drive MP3 player, and since I have switched from iTunes to WMP in Vista (Aero = love

), I was wondering if there was a good iPod alternative that I could get.

Features I DON'T need:
File support for anything other the .wma
Mic/Audio in features
AM/FM tuner
Linux/customizable OS

Features I DO need:
At least 30 GB
Not to bulky
EASY TO USE!!
$250 or less

That last one is important, I have tried my friends M-Audio player, and I just couldn't get the hang of it. What ever play I get, it must have a simple, easy to use interface.

Zune. Spend a few seconds on it and the menus feel so natural. It also fits in almost any pocket I have even the cellphone pocket. 30GB, wma, mp3, wav, more.. converts a lot of stuff. The sound is as nice as the iPod without those horrible menus of theirs. The LCD is huge on it compared to most other MP3 players. And the software it comes with is basically Windows Media Player.

The whole thing feels solid and is the best $230 I ever spent.

I was thinking of a Zune, but I have never worked with them. Is there any store where I could try one out that you know of?

Best Buy has them on the storefront where you can mess with them. They seem neat, im going to pickone up soon.

Wal-Mart. They let me put my hands on the display model. Hold down the |> || (Play/Pause) for a few seconds and it'll snap to life.

It's easy to use though. Press the center to select up/down to move through the menu and the <- button to go up a menu level.

You can also move around between sub-levels without going up a level by using left/right.

When you're in the play screen up/down is volume and left/right+hold is ffwd/rew and tapping left/right skips songs.

During a video hold the Zune side ways and what used to be left right is now up down same thing just flipped.

Zune or Creative Vision M...ive heard good things about the vision M, such as the screen being amazingly bright and clear, i <3 Creative, i really think creative make good stuff, my zen microphoto is a real nice piece of kit.

i have a iriver it was free but if i was gonna buy a mp3 player i would get a zune too
