So you have tryed the Audiophile 2496?. The Audiophile 2496 wont be worse than a Creative Audigy SE playing games like Battlefield 2 as that game has EAX and uses hardware or software for sound processing.

Almost any (expensive) card does some sort of eax.

The X-fi just rock at it.

But for sound quality go with the 2496.

p.s.: IDK means I Don't Know

Well i ordered the Audiophile 2496 yesterday and it came this afternoon. Took me abit of time to get it to work, I installed the driver, Didnt work so i updated it off there site and it still didnt work, I had to roll back the driver update to the first driver i installed and it work (dont know why it didnt work first time on the first installed driver). Anyways TBH i cant really tell the diffrance that much, I have upgraded from an Audigy SE is there an real diffrance between the two?. The bass and noise seem alittle better.

in musical playback, SE-90 is almost the best there is...
chaintech is more of a budget card.

i really recommend u get Onkyo SE-90, but remember it's 2.1.
