Ultimate Ears was started by Van Halen's sound engineer and are top notch. Many pro musicians use them. Prices range from $75 to $1000. The $100-$150 super.fi 5 series are very impressive, IMHO, and are very comfortable to wear. I have a set of super.fi 5 EB, myself.
