Default recommend some new headphones!

yooo, need a recommendation for some really good headphones. not anything too expensive. these will primarily be for music listening on my computer, as i already have a good gaming headset (sennheiser's pc161).

I'm fixing to buy some headphones for music / gaming and i've pretty much decided on the Audio Technica ATH-AD500's. I found em for $77 shipped new, check google products for em, it's the cheapest site on there.

These cans seem like a good choice, if they are in your price range.

ive heard good things about the grado s60's for that price range, did you look at those? My price range is like sub-150.

kevin, btw i just shipped out my motherboards for RMA today. I'm keeping the P5B and selling the P5N-E SLI if your interested. Also, I'm not one of the 8% that clings to music that takes instrumental skill. :/

good. the p5b is a better board.

and on the topic of headphones, newegg has a good deal on sennheiser hd555's right now

link

they are basically the better version of mine (hd515's). and btw if you are using these mostly for music you better get some high quality tracks... it'll barely make a difference if they are plain mp3's etc.

anything lossless. (FLAC, apple lossless, etc.). basically you can get really good quality off a CD and you just change the import settings in itunes to apple lossless instead of AAC the the sound quality is amazing.. the only problem is it takes up a load of space. depending on size of an album it can be over a gig for 1 album. i tried that but i obviously could barely fit anything on my 4gb mini
