I don't know where else I could put this in the forum, but I want to get some speakers for my shower room. Does anyone know of some decent portable speakers, or speakers that i can install in the shower room that are water resistant, or do they have to be waterproof? I would like to set it up so I can just plug in my mp3 player and play the music from that if possible. Thanks~!

I don't sing that much in the shower really, but it's nice to start the day with some music to wake up to.

dunno bout waterproof speakers, but you could try mounting some speakers on the ceiling and putting some sort of guard so that water wouldn't get into them.

Look for marine audio type speakers, they are indoor / outdoor, therefore would be water resistant. Also, why not just mount them outside the shower, like, by the sink or toilet or something so they don't get any water splashed at all, then you could use any speakers...

I know I could mount them around the ceiling or what not, but I'm afraid of the moisture build up within the speaker, that's why. I'm not afraid of getting water splashed on them as to the build up by the hot water.

you should defiantly look into marine speakers but everything with marine in front of it doubles the cost...its just how it works

Look for outdoor speakers. Last time I was at Fry's, they had speakers that were made for outdoor use. I'm pretty sure those are waterproof, at least to a certain degree.
