You would be better off getting some ATH a500's or AD500s for that price and then get a cheap zalman mic for $5.

What is wrong with 5.1? Put aside the 'sound quality' as I see no difference with the pairs I have tested and previously owned

I have these headphones and I love them

I especially like that 5.1

They don't seal out ambient noise because the ear pads are cushion. I like it because I don't have to take off my headphones to actually talk to people.

I owned the precursors to those headphones and they were excellent for gaming. They can't match the sound quality that my Grados have but they have a much larger sound stage and are certainly better for first person shooters.
