Ive read alot about the drivers for Creatives X-fi cards not being compatable with vista 64.
__________________Any good alternatives that would still be as benificial, or cheaper then Creatives cards? Looking at Auzentech X-fi And the Razer Barracuda I mainly use my head set through the front jacks in the case (I will probably not be using speakers with this system) Any Help would be great.

Yeah, just another reason to go with another brand, the Auzentech sports Creative chips EAX 5.0 support, and Xram, with out the crummy Creative drivers (because Auzentech does their own)

The Auzentech X-Fi Prelude is an excellent sound card I must say. Their drivers are based on Creative's if you must know, but they work perfectly in Vista x64 (I have both and they DO work together).

Mine seem to be working fine in Vista Ultimate x64. Is there something missing that I don't know about?

BSOD with certain set ups, lack of full multichannel support (i.e. only two channel stereo), no EAX, etc.
