Not sure if this will help or not, but it fixed my problems.

My Xtreme music came with the driver only. I didn't have the audio console or anything like that. I had heard that the retail versions of the card came with a disk that had a bunch of software on it. (driver, creative console, creative media player, burner etc.) This software was not afailable for download from creative and the only way you could get it was with a CD. It has been put up as a torrent. Since I have swapped hdd's and OS's a few times since I got the card, I have DL'd the torrent a couple of times and am unsure of which one I used the last time.

Anyway, thats what I was refering to as the "Creative Software Suite". Since the whole dnielK fiasco a few weeks ago, I think there have been more drivers and applications available from Creative via their website.

Well, you may get a PM. I am waiting on my free Vista from the MS feedback prgram and will need drivers for my card when I get it. Have you look for any of the danielK drivers? I know they were designed for lesser cards, but worth a shot.

Daniel K drivers are for the Audigy to work with Vista. i used those drivers when i had the Audigy. i dont remember if surround sound worked or not because i bought the XFi shortly after upgrading my rig and installing Vista 64.

i am also waiting for my Windows Feedback copy as well.

I know they suck, but Creative has a new driver on their site for Vista 64. it is dated Mar 15 2008, so it is fairly new. Not sure if you tried it or not. Other than that, I would do what you are doing. Trying different drivers and see if they work.

yea, ive definately tried those already because i built my machine around the end of March and didnt get the XFi until about a week ago.

i hope the YouP-PaX drivers work. darn rapidshare making me wait 1.5 hours before i can download another portion of the file =\

as for the Vista from the feedback thing, i hope that its x64 as well because the vista ultimate that were given away at the software launch last month was only 32 bit.
