Default Xtremegamer coaxial to flexijack

I'm trying to connect a coax cable to a Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtremegamer through the flexijack.

Supposedly, I can use this:

for it to work. By plugging that plug into the flexijack on the card and then from there I can plug in a coax cable through the other end.

Now I'm just wondering, would this work too?

well is it a stereo coax or split coax? if you plug a stereo coax into a single end of a split it will only read R or L audio. the fades and distortion effects will dissappear.

I am confused here. For that card the flexijack has 3 options: line in, microphone in and optical out. What are you trying to use it for? That adapter looks like an headphone-->RCA adapter and to do line out you would need an adapter that starts with an optical input. This thread is practically the same question. If just trying to use it as line in then that adapter should work.

Well I got a digital coaxial cable that I want to plug in from my sound card to the Z-5500 through the flexijack.

Can't use the TOSLINK cable since the TOSLINK jack on the Z-5500 is occupied.

Since the coaxial jack is free, I want to use that. If I used an adapter that can convert the coaxial cable to a 3.5mm jack, and plug it in, it should output sound right? If so, I'm just wondering if the Y-adapter works the same. There's only one coaxial plug so it'd plug into either the red or white and I'm not sure if that works.

Thanks.

It's not an optical out port. It's digital coaxial.

That y-adapater is for stereo sound. Unless I'm mistaken, a digital transmission out is senton only one line, so the above linkage of a mono mini-plug to RCA adapter should be what you need. Haven't tried it myself to verify, though.

Yes, but I need a more flexible adapter since there's not much space behind my sound card and the y-splitter can bend so I wanted to know if using it would work the same as the mono one.
