Default Sound Editing Program

I have been meaning to change my ring tone on my phone for awhile now. I don't know of any good tru****l programs to edit my songs into 30 second clips.

I wanted some suggestions on a few programs to use. Doesn't have to be powerful and complicated even though I rather use those.

Audacity is awesome!

I have used it with some plugins for a while for some various works. And it is free.

Audacity is the way to go. Simple enough to learn in 5 minutes, powerful enough to use for a long time.

If it is for a ringtone, don't both with Audacity or any other program. Just use this site:

http://www.myxertones.com/

It's great. You can upload a song and then choose which part, and then it will send it to your phone without losing quality. That is what i always use.
