ipod mods?
I was wondering a few things, seeing as I'm really getting into audiophile territory these days, and have always been living under the saying, "If it works, it can still work better." and "It can only be fixed after you've broken it" I was wondering if anyone has a few pics of the inside of a G6 ipod classic.... I was hoping to track out the DAC/opamp scenario and see if I could mod my ipod to get some more out of it. Similar to the imods, but they have no support for the G6 classics.
iMod I'm all for replacing small components, etc. and if I screw it up, it's still under warranty  I'd love to do something similar to the 5/5.5G mod that they offer, but on my own... maybe replace the DAC chip...and the battery while I'm at it.

thanks CHipp.... 20pages in and only one mention of the 6th gen.... but I'm still unsure if mine is 5.5gen or 6th gen... its an 80GB Black.... purchased last Xmas...

 6/Classic -  The simplest way to tell is that 5.5 is glossy and 6 is matte.

are you currently using a LOD?
If you mod the iPod then you'll need a more expensive LOD that has caps inside it.
