Default KOSS UR-20 VS Expensive headphones

I was wondering if anyone has ever had these headphones?

Koss UR-20
http://www.amazon.com/Koss-20-UR-20-Home-Headphones/dp/B00005N9D3/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1208897383&sr=8-1
I've had these forever and they sound damn good for being $20 with shipping. Was wondering if anyone has ever had these and like a $90 pair and if the $90 ones are actually worth $70 extra dollars because I find it hard to believe!

I bet I have at least 4 pairs of headphones within reach (without getting up from my chair) that sound better

I must have faulty ears lol. Or maybe its the fact that I've never heard music coming from really nice speakers and a nice sound card.

Headphoens generally sound better than speakers. Heck, my old $70 SR60 beats my Logitech Z-5500 in everything except in bass extension and impact.

If you are interested in the head-fi world, head over to head-fi.org and it'll make you start spending money on headphones, amps, dacs, and other what-have-yous in no time. If that's not enough, you'll actually start buying CDs again!

yeah um, pretty sure as soloz said I'd have a few pairs of headphones that'd blow those babies away... AD700s/HD555s and kramer modded FX66s (JVC MARSHMALLOWS)... not AS MANY as Soloz but close... and the FX66s are only around 40 after mod and everything, although they're in ears...

It's not the number of headphones you own that matters, it's the outright quality of them and how well they suit you.

Audiophiles can own plenty of ridiculous HiFi cans that simply don't match their tastes, thus making them not at all worthwhile. The trick is finding what you like .

PeePs - if they sound good to you, then they are good. But if you do want to move on to another pair, then we'll be here to help.
