So, I had been keeping my plans on the down-low, but apparently those in power on this forum lack interest in having an integral group of the site receive a dedicated piece of equipment...

Thus, I unveil my plans

I am going to perform a wood-modification to a pair of headphones that has never before been done in the headphone world (to my knowledge anyhow).

The purpose is two-fold:

1) I get to have fun doing an exclusive mod.

2) I get to dedicate it to OCN's Headphone Club.

That's right - this piece will serve as a tribute to you guys that share my passion for HiFi audio.

Now, I don't want to get into the exact details of this mod for obvious reasons. So why even create a thread in first place? Because you guys get to choose the specific pair of headphones to have this mod bestowed upon them.

I've pretty much decided on Denon D2000 to serve as the canvas for this mod. I have many plans in thought, once I figure out exactly how I'm going to proceed I'll update with a list of everything to be done to these headphones.

I was going to say Denon D2000, but then I realized...

Anyway, maybe some Ultrasone headphones? HFI-780 perhaps? I can't say I've *ever* seen a Ultrasone woody, I'd doubt anyone ever did one.

Oh yes, if you do do the Ultrasones, don't forget to do that one earpad mod where you can mount Beyer pads
