Geeks.com is sold out.

You get the software from Creative: http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/ Therefore, it's not a huge problem. In fact, you should ALWAYS get software and drivers for new components from the manufactor.

Yes but I heard that this card doesn't work with that software, or it will work with limitations.

My main questoin besides that is: is the software important enough that I should get a retail version of the card.
