Default Ipod Sync

So after a format of my HD and i reinstall Itunes. I can't sync my ipod with Itune without having to erase it and redo everything all over. Is there a way for me to sync my ipod without having to erase everything?

there's a way to connect your ipod, leave all your songs on there, and manually add all new songs onto your ipod, but you'd have to add the newer songs everytime you connected it.

you want to keep your current iPod library, and sync and just add songs you dont have the on library correct? from my experience, this can't be done :[. why not just re-sync/load your library?

He has no library to Sync because it's wiped... All I can say is next time back up your music because it's a pain to download/rip all that music again.

You could try syncing it with Winamp, or rip all of your music back to the harddrive and start over

Google "iPod Agent". It'll get the songs off your iPod so you can re-sync them.

Next time, use foobar instead of iTunes. I use the Dop plugin for it, which basically just takes care of everything.

Don't worry, you're not screwed. Plug the ipod into your computer, and kill itunes immediately when it starts (if it automatically starts). Then navigate to the ipod in my computer, open it up and navigate to the "ipod data" or "ipod control" folder (or something like that--I can't actually check 'cause I don't have my cord with my at the moment). There, you should find a bunch of hidden folders, labeled F01 through Fxx (sometimes xx=40)--copy these to a folder on your desktop, and disconnect your ipod. Then, open up itunes, and drag that "ipod data" folder to your ipod library, and it will automatically copy/import the songs (preserving any id3 tags and song data info).

You'll have to re-make your playlists unfortunately, but this will get you your songs at least. Good luck!
