I really like my bluegears card, excellent value and it uses the Oxygen CMI8788 chip.
I don't listen to headphones so I can't answer that question.

Hrm, that's a tough one, the b-Enspirer has a better APU, but the X-Plosion has swappable OPAMP which allows you to customize your sound. The sound quality is probably equal at stock, but the X-Plosion can easily sound better than the b-Enspirer if you upgrade to better OPAMPs. So if you are staying stock, I'd go with the b-Enspirer due to newer technologies, but if you don't mind swapping out the OPAMPs, I'd go with the X-Plosion.

They are literally "swappable", pull old one out, put new one in.
