Hey guys,
__________________I recently built a computer (Intel Q6600, Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L, nVidia EVGA 8800 GT Superclocked Edition, 2 gigs Corsair RAM) and onboard sound. I had just gotten everything running today and I launched Team Fortress 2, but I got no sound. I was just using 2 basic speaker that have been working before, but I got nothing. When I tried Bioshock, however, I did get sound. Now I'm thinking it might just be Orange Box, since none of the other games that came with it work. But YouTube doesn't give me sound either..... I put in an Audigy SoundBlaster 2 card just now, and still nothing . Ideas? Suggestions? This is my first time with audio, so I'm pretty much lost .Sorry for the long post, thanks for any replys.

A Codec Pack may be required, especially if you have sound in some apps and not in others. Update drivers, apply a codec pack, and try again. If your using the creative sound blaster, then disable onboard sound. If using onboard sound then upgrade your Realtek drivers to 1.91 which is the newest version.
