Arrow Durable Gaming Headsets - $50 Budget

Hey there.

I'm currently looking for a durable gaming headset for less than $50 dollars. So far, I've broken three headsets in the last year by dropping them, cord breaking, etc. As you can probably tell, I'm not a very careful guy, so I don't want to spend too much on a headset since I'll probably break it again.

I don't mind too much about sound quality, since durability is my first priority. However, I will be using the headset with an Asus Xonar DX sound card, so it cannot be USB. This headset will be mostly used for gaming. Any suggestions or recommendations are welcome.

Thanks for reading.

I've had the same problem : (

Right now I'm rocking it old-school with a nice pair of headphones and a desktop mic.

With that budget... I would have to say go with the Creative Fatal1ty headset.

The review at Overclockers Club says they are supposed to be pretty good.
http://www.overclockersclub.com/revi...tal1ty_review/

Here are some sites that are selling it:
Newegg
Buy.com
http://www.amazon.com/Creative-Labs-51MZ0310AA002-Fatal1ty-Headset/dp/B000RI397G/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1214398318&sr=8-1
Amazon and Buy.com are the cheapest, because of the free shipping. Newegg would be over $50 because of shipping, but I put it there because some people just only like to buy from them.

I agree, I bought them a week ago at 40 plus shipping. They are really comfortable. But, the down side? Fatal1ty marking all over the place. :\

I looked up the headset and it's just what I'm looking for. Unfortunately, I cannot find a store in Canada that sells it for less that $50.

EDIT: After some difficult searching, I found the headset at Canada Computers for $46!

Do you mind if they are behind-the-head? If so you should get these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826106931
They are comfortable up until around the 4 hour mark. then you want to take them off when they are not in use. I got these off of eBay and they have super good sound quality and the mic is really clear. My only issue is the fact that the day after I got them, my dog ripped them to shreds but other than that they seem mega durable. But I have a wolf-dog so I can understand.... I bought a new pair and they should be coming soon.
