I am having trouble getting 5.1 to work from my xbox 360. When I select Digital Stereo, I get sound, but when I select Dolby Digital 5.1, no sound. Audio is running through an optical cable and is read as Digital In on my sound card. 5.1 works fine on the PC. I thought it was suposed to be S/PDIF In and not Digital In.

S/PDIF and Digital are the same. Sony/Panasonic Digital Interface. Are you sure all of your hardware works with Dolby 5.1? Some only supports DTS.
