nice guide. cool idea!
as for painting, just sand with about 320-400grit sandpaper, primer is usually a good idea for metal. grit doesn't matter too much, but lower tends to leave scratch marks, and higher may not be able to get it even. Im not a painting pro or anything, but ive done it before .

thats cool, right now my speakers are sitting ontop of my bed top bar, somtimes they fall of in the middle of the night, just mising my head lol, i might try this out, and you dont need any screws to screw in the mount, does it stick with adhesive?

IMHO,
Holes in wall > crash/thud in the middle of the night You could even use a standard picture hanger that would leave the tiniest hole and just bend the hook if needed. If you're determined to not drill holes this adhesive based hook could work (not sure if it will fit in the hole on the speaker though) but it is a little more expensive...$8.24 ea @ Home Depot ![]()
