I have a 30 gb Zune and love it, but I also saw those new Creative Xfi's and they look really sweet too.

I have an 80GB Ipod Classic 6th gen and love it, still yet to open er up and make a proper line out feed.... but its a great unit, stocked to the brim with my music, but the I dislike that it doesn't accept FLAC, only ALAC (stoopid apple), and I tried rockboxed, but it eats batteries for breakfast...

I've used both, and I prefer the Zune. Mine is the First gen. 30gb. I didn't want a second gen. cause I watch videos on it, so I wanted a bigger screen.

I think the Zune has higher sound quality, and I really, really don't like the scrolly wheel thingy the iPod uses. I have trouble sometimes stopping right where I want to. All in all, it's really about preference as mentioned above.

So i was thinking a 80gig zune? an opinions on that? i guess video isn't terribly important to me but it would be nice.

Also i am considering getting a napster subscription and using that to put songs on it. From what i understand they have a subscription that lets u put any amount of songs on an mp3player and then you just have to connect it to the comp every 30 days? anyone know if that's correct? anyone have any suggestions for a similar system?

ty, rep for good answers
I've got the following MP3 players.

iPod 4th Gen
iPod 5th Gen (Video)
iPod Touch
Zune 1st Gen
Zune 2nd Gen

I like the Zune. It has better sound quality than the iPod and has a larger screen. The iPod touch isn't bad but its all touch screen and I'm not a fan. I wish the Zune's had more HDD space but you can upgrade the HDD if you want to just like the iPod. The iPod Classic isn't bad because of the space.

Yeah.

If you go to college, try to talk your college administration into getting your campus on Ruckus. You can find it at http://www.ruckus.com. It's free music that your college campus pays for. It rocks because if you buy the program Tunebite, you can download all the songs for free on Ruckus, re-record them into any format you want without the DRM using Tunebite and use it on any MP3 player you wish. Tunebite is $10 and Ruckus is free so you'll spend alot less.

Hey, don't diss realtek, it's what I have!
I'm getting the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Extreme Audio soon, should be way better, plus it has Optical (TOSLINK) out, so I can plug into into my amp and get 5.1 (Who needs an MP3 player )
