Default Cheap (<$40) Soundcard For Vista x64?
I'm getting pretty tired of my onboard sound. It's starting to sound like an AM radio, or holding a cardboard tube up to your ear.

I want to know what's the best soundcard for about $40 (I would prefer cheaper as I've already spent a lot on my 4850), that for 100% sure has Vista x64 support.

I just dropped in a SB Audigy SE for 29 bux. Works perfectly! I used to hate SB stuff with XP...but this one seems to be doing fine.

Tahts the one! This board had no onboard sound, but compared to the OB 7.1 HD on my 680i, I would say about 4x the quality and definition.

The Audigy 2 ZS is a great card that can be had for under $40. The only problem is finding one. With the latest drivers, the card is impressive enough that a friend of mine commented on it's sound quality while playing COD4.
