Well Sennheiser 201 headphones, and some Logitech X-230 I think it was? 2.1 speaker setup. I play counter strike, listen to LOTS of music. Also play Call of Duty 4.

Reviews of the XtremeGamer are better... Any particular reason that you need a soundcard? If it's not to provide 5.1 or 7.1 surround support then you probably wont notice a huge difference with a sound card vs onboard. Are you having problems with your onboard sound?

It will defineitely make a difference. But i think that if you're going to listen via. headphones and 2.1 speakers than Xtrem sound card is really inave for u.Decide.Soundcard is one of those things which you don't change every year so probably those 20$ more or not, will do some future "results".
