Denon D2000s
Audio-Technica ATH-A900s


Does anyone else have any other suggestions?

I love my a700's Im sure the a900's are only better... Didnt know there was much better than the 700's tho lol..

Yeah, the 700s are pretty low-end actually


So, everyone is saying the D2000s, is there any other good closed headphones in this price range?? $150-$225

The d2000's are really $300 headphones; now that they can be gotten for just over $200, they are definitely the best in the price range.

Just as I told you before - Denon D2000.

Let me put it this way: my D2 went toe-to-toe with an $800 modded (balanced) Denon D5000, my very own $900 JVC DX1000, a $6,000 Sony R10, and a few stock Denons at the last meet I attended. While I certainly would not suggest that this headphone can outclass an R10, it compares very favorably and really demonstrates just how much value you can get for a $200 headphone. Nearly everyone at this meet preferred my D2000 to the aforementioned balanced D5000.

I really cannot think of another way to express myself when I talk about the value in this headphone.
