Maybe I should spend all the money on a cheap X-Fi and beg my dad to give me his HD250 IIs. But those need a separate amp.

Hmm. I'll take a look at those.

Edit: These? And would you rather have those or HD201s?
Yes, those. It really depends on what style you want. I haven't heard the HD201s in a long time, but IIRC they were pretty comfy, moreso than the KSC75, but didn't sound as good. So it's really a toss up.

the kosses are supposed to sound really good, and you can mod them to a headband andsuch, for more comfort... but I'd definentely suggest against the Audigy as it is outdated for a sound card, my two suggestions although above your price range for entry level sound cards today would be the X-Fi ExtremeGamer or the X-Fi Extreme Music, recently woot.com just sold off a bunch of OEM Extreme Musics, and they should show up on ebay soon... (they went from woot for 30, expect 50 or so on ebay...)

I had the Audigy Card about 3 months ago and it was only a tad better then my onboard! The X-FI Extreme Audio Is just a rebranded Audiogy and DOES not support EAX 5! The XtremeGamer is the best card for the money ($90) and its amazing!

I would rather have something a little more comfy, as I can for for some pretty long sittings of CS:S.

@ Hellscream: I'm kind of against ebaying stuff...
@CorryBasler: Yeah, $90 is a little out of my price range...

@ Both: ... so what about an open box Xonar for $53?

I can vouch for the Koss KSC75s. Simply astounding for their price and sound almost as good as my AD300s.
