Default Rate My Mini Audio Upgrade

I'm going to be ordering a pair of HD201s and an Audigy SE.

Those are pretty much the best things for the money, right?

your audigy se link is linked to a scythe fan haha but yes those are great for the money (not saying you should expect something great out of a pair of 17$ headphones though)

Whoops. I guess I didn't hit ctrl+c or something. *Fixed*

Yeah, I was thinking about getting some headphones later to put that money towards a cheap X-Fi and use the speakers I already have.

I'm not one of those people that's into super bassy speakers/headphones.

I just want the sound reproduced as close as it was when it was recorded, and that's why I normally say away from any headphones.

Then I would suggest going Bose.

I use: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826627003 and I love them. It's a bit pricey but it was worth it.

Those are both great choices for the price, I think you'll be very happy with the value.

Norman - aside from recommending bose, which is its own separate issue, why would you suggest $130 headphones for someone interested in $20 ones?

OP - something else to consider if you don't mind clip-ons is the Koss KSC75. Just an astoundingly good pair of headphones for the price.

Only $100 above my budget

Really?

Maybe I should spend all the money on a cheap X-Fi and beg my dad to give me his HD250 IIs. But those need a separate amp.

Hmm. I'll take a look at those.

Edit: These? And would you rather have those or HD201s?
