Default Best sound card for gaming/music

Price isn't really an issue. So far I've been recommended the X-Fi Xtreme Music.

I'm also looking for a good headset. Only one I know of is the Razer Barracuda.

If you had asked this question a couple days ago, I would've told you to buy the XtremeGamer at Newegg for $45 (shell shocker deal), but it's price is back up to ~$85 now. I wouldn't bother getting the XtremeMusic unless you can get a really good deal on it.

I live in the UK, so I will be buying either off of eBuyer or Overclockers.co.uk

Could you have a look and tell me what the best headset/sound card combination would be?

Not sure about the soundcard, but you should try dabs.com as well as those other online stores. Between my partner and myself, we've spent thousands with dabs and have always had a really good experience with them. Their customer services are good too. Obviously, go for the shop that offers the best value, but give dabs a look if you haven't already .
