Default Possible to modify X-Fi Titatinum?

I was thinkin' about picking up the Fatal1ty X-Fi but I was hoping to modify it in the same method mentioned in this thread. If it is possible, that'd be great. It'd free up a PCI space to allow for Crossfire and I'd get a nice front panel.

as of yet the new X-Fi series, including the titanium in which you're talking about are basically unmoddable as of yet, unless you want to go in there and reverse engineer it all... as in there is no guide for the new ones, about what caps, and such to replace... but the card alone will still sound great, stock...

Thanks for the heads up! Alrighty, I'll just modify my current XtremeMusic and if it all goes to hell, I'll pick up the new series.

I'm pretty satisfied with my X-Fi titanium, but I'm wondering the same thing. In particular, I am wondering about the capacitors Creative used in building the cards. They aren't exactly known for making good choices on caps. If they used Jamicons, I'd like to replace them with something better, maybe Panasonic.

caps are generally easy to replace, look for the largest voltage rated cap and that will be the power filter cap, and if you can get a read out on it for the micro farads, and order a nice replacement one such as a panasonic FM series, Blackgate NX, or Nichon MUSE all of those will defiantly help and diffuse the chance of a blown cap... also there are other caps all across the board that you can simply remove, read the label and order replacements for... long as your good at through hole soldering, you'll be fine...
