Default replace my headphones

I have a pair of these bad boys and I am guessing they don't do the job for the price since all I get from my Digital Out port on my sound card is buzzing with faint FAINT music in the background (guessing they aren't digital).

Anyone have recommendations?

Think cheap (as low as possible cheap)

Don't use your digital out then. Use your green 2 channel port, or, use a headphone switch that you plug into your green 2-channel port. You plug the switch into the green port, you plug the speakers into the switch, and the switch has a headphone jack. When you want to use headphones, you press the big button top of the switch and you get audio to the headphones.

I gotta find that thing online right quick, I used to have one but I gave it away here on OCN like 8 months ago.

I have the cable extension plugged into the back and it runs to the front. I switch my headphone and speakers that way.

But why can't I get sound out of my SDIF/Digital Out Port?

I don't think you are supposed to use that for headphones. You might be able to, but I doubt that's what it's for.

It probably says "SPDIF" next to the digital port.

Like I said, I don't think it's possible to use headphones with that port. It may be a 1/8" port, but your 2-channel sound comes from that green port. Use it for your speakers and headphones.

what?
spdif is only tosslink (optical) or digital coaxial, no 1/8th inch jacks.
