Default Auzentech X-Fi Prelude

So I just got my X-Fi Prelude today, I installed the drivers from there website and I used the settings from this thread and it sounds amazing compared to my sb audigy 2 zs. Is there anything else I can do for free that will make it sound better or anything that I should know about this card?

use foobar2000, and use the plugins that djbigbear has in his thread.

I went from an Audigy 2 ZS Platinum to my sig rig sound card, and I too noticed a decent improvement. Welcome to X-FI!

some suggestions for better sound quality

if you're playing digital media files try some lossless, forms of them, such as FLAC or WAV, the files are larger but have a far better sample rate...

also as zac suggested try Foobar 2000 or jriver media jukebox, with ASIO out, this will make a difference too....

set it up in the options of either foobar 2000 or jriver media jukebox (I suggest this one to start)
